Kakinada: Two Mandal Praja Parishad presidents and one sarpanch and one MPTC member tendered their resignations to the membership of YSRC in the Prathipadu constituency, expressing dissatisfaction against Prathipadu MLA Parvatha Purnachandra Prasad.
They are Eleswaram MPP Gollapalli Narasimha Murthy (Bujji), Rowthulapudi MPP Gantimalla Rajyalakshmi, Turpu Lakshmipuram Sarpanch Dr Veeramreddy Satyanaga Bhargavi and Bhadravaram MPTC Koppula Babji. They told the media here that they had been supporting the YSRC and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy since 2011. They played a key role in the victory of Parvatha Purnachandra Prasad in the 2019 elections. But, the MLA had insulted and harassed them. Despite the complaint, the party leadership and YSRC Kakinada district president Kurasala Kannababu and regional coordinator P.V. Mithun Reddy did not take any action against him. Moreover, the party insulted them by not inviting them to the Samajika Sadhikaritha Bus Yatra held on November 23, they alleged.
They stated that they snapped ties with the ruling party but would continue as the public representatives of local bodies.
