Travancore Devaswom Board president A Padmakumar to check on fake' appointment

R.V. Babu, general secretary, Hindu Aikya Vedi, demanded an enquiry into the incident.

ALAPPUZHA: Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president, A. Padmakumar, has promised to look into the "appointment" of R. Sasikumar, assistant engineer, Muvattupuzha, as Bhandaram special officer. Responding to Deccan Chronicle report “Fake order on Bhandaram special officer appointment”, he said he did talk to Mr Sasikumar who told him he was unaware of that order. “We have noticed the matter, and we'll check if it was an administerial failure. The issue will be discussed at TDB meeting on Tuesday," he said.

Meanwhile, Reghunathan Nair, facing charges over the disappearance of precious pendants from Sreekrishna Swamy Temple, Ambalappuzha, continues as the Bhandaram special officer. R.V. Babu, general secretary, Hindu Aikya Vedi, demanded an enquiry into the incident. “It’s responsibility of TDB to explain the appointment of a tainted official," he said.
