Vijayawada: YSRC MLC Md Ruhullah pledged to ensure the development of a Muslim burial ground before the upcoming Ramzan festival. He recently paid a visit to the Ajith Singh Nagar Burial Ground, commonly referred to as Khabarasthan, accompanied by officials from the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) and leaders representing the Muslim community.
During the visit, MLC Ruhullah directed the VMC engineering officials to expedite the preparation of an estimate for the improvement of Khabarasthan. He also inquired about the current state of the burial ground and instructed the relevant officials to swiftly provide an estimate for its development. Among his directives were the removal of weeds, ground leveling, potential construction of a compound wall, the establishment of a Masjid, and the provision of internal roads within the burial ground.
MLC Ruhullah indicated that once the estimates for Khabarasthan's development are complete, he plans to meet with Municipal Commissioner Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar to discuss further actions.
