HYDERABAD: Telangana state has recorded one of its lowest daily Covid-19 cases on Sunday, though with fewer tests being conducted on the day that coincided with the weekend and Durgashtami. As on Sunday, the state recorded 582 new cases and four more deaths due to Coronavirus, taking the total cases so far to 2,31,834 and fatalities to 1,311. Only 14,729 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the state between Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the state recorded 978 new cases and four deaths. The number of tests conducted between Friday and Saturday were 27,055, according to the daily Covid-19 bulletins issued on Saturday and Sunday.
As on Sunday, the state had 18,611 active cases, 15,582 of them under isolation either at their homes or institutions providing isolation facilities.
In the GHMC area, 175 new cases had been recorded on Saturday and 174 on Sunday, as per the bulletin. While 1,317 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in government hospitals, their corresponding number in private hospitals is 1,712.
