Naidu's counsel to meet CJI today

Vijayawada: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s counsel Siddarth Luthra would meet Supreme Court chief justice D.Y. Chandrachud on Tuesday to mention about Naidu’s plea challenging the AP High Court order dismissing his FIR quash petition in the AP skill scam case, for hearing, by fixing the date and time.

Supreme Court senior advocate Siddarth Luthra met CJI in New Delhi on Monday and wanted to mention about taking Naidu’s plea for hearing but the CJI reportedly advised him to come up, instead, through a mention list on Tuesday.

The CJI learnt to have enquired about Naidu pertaining to his status as he has been serving judicial remand since September 10 after his arrest in skill development scam. Naidu got extension of judicial remand up to October 5 while the AP-CID grilled him for two days from September 23 to 24.

Once the TD counsel makes a mention before the CJI for taking up hearing of Naidu’s case on Tuesday, it is up to the apex court to decide as to when it should be listed in the registry for the hearing.
