Kurnool: A 45-year-old man was washed away in a stream in Nandyal district on Sunday evening. His body was recovered on Monday afternoon.
The victim, Narsappa, was a resident of GC Palem village in Bandi Atmakur mandal. He had just finished some work related to his profession on Sunday evening and was en route to Narayanapuram village when he was swept away by the current while crossing the Maddileru stream near his village.
Villagers and relatives searched for Narsappa along the banks of the stream on Sunday evening, but they were unable to find him. SDRF, revenue, and police officials joined the search operation on Monday morning, and Narsappa's body was found later that day.
Sub-inspector Mallikarjuna said that a case has been registered and Narsappa's body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
