Landslide disrupts train services in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Restoration work is underway on a landslide site between Manabar-Jarati stations in the KK line of Waltair Division, Visakhapatnam. The landslide has disrupted several train services, with many trains being short terminated.

A team of senior officials from Waltair Division led by divisional railway manager Saurabh Prasad has reached the site and deployed heavy-duty machinery and workers to speed up the restoration work. Despite inclement weather, the work is ongoing to minimise inconvenience to the public.

The following trains have been short terminated due to the landslide:

18107 Rourkela-Jagdalpur Express: Short terminated at Koraput, will start from Koraput on Tuesday as 18108 to Rourkela. No service between Koraput and Jagdalpur on Tuesday.

18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express: Terminated at Koraput, will start from Koraput to Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

18514 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Night Express: Short terminated at Koraput, returned from Koraput as 18513 to Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

08551 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger: Leaving Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, will be short terminated at Araku and return from Araku as 08552 to Visakhapatnam on the same day.

18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari Express: Short terminated at Titlagarh, will return from Titlagarh as 18006 to Howrah on Tuesday.
