Bring Vedas to common man: Governor ESL Narasimhan
Tirupati: Governor of Telugu speaking states E.S.L. Narasimhan on Sunday gave a call to the Vedic students to enrich themselves on Vedas and explain about the extracts of Vedas to the common people.
The Governor who reached Tirupati on two-day visit on Sunday, visited Vedic school in Tirupati. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that mathematics, science and other subjects were imbibed in Vedas and their substance should be reach out to the common man.
Mr Narasimhan asked the students to use the acquired vedic knowledge for the welfare of society. He also appealed them to extend the vedic practices to the society. Later he observed the vedic students who chanted Krishna Yajurveda.
The Governor also visited Yagashala at Vedic University and observed the replicas of temple structures and manuscripts.
Earlier, the Governor offered prayers in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor. The Governor was accorded warm welcome by TTD JEO P. Bhaskar and temple DyEO C. Ramana at the temple.
After darshan, speaking to media persons the Governor said, it is auspicious to have darshan of Goddess during the holy Purattasi season. “I prayed Goddess to offer Her benign blessings on the entire humanity,” the Governor said. Meanwhile AP DGP N. Sambasiva Rao offered prayers to the Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Sunday morning.
