P V Narasimha Rao\'s memorial to be as grand as Kalam\'s
Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter K Kavitha on Wednesday joined the chorus demanding the Bharat Ratna for former PM P V Narasimha Rao whose birth centenary is being celebrated year long this year.
Speaking at a commemorative even organised by her NGO Telangana Jagruthi,
Kavitha said the late prime minister made significant contributions to India at the , regional, national and international levels, and therefore his legacy deserved to be memorialized.
Telangana Jagruthi has set about publishing Narasimha Rao's works every month as pat of the centenary celebrations.
Speaking at the same function, Rajya Sabha MP K Keshav Rao rememebered that chief minister Chandrashekar Rao had promised to build an awesome memorial for Narasimha Rao, on par with that of the late A PJ Abdul
Kalam in Rameswaram. The PV memorial is to be inaugurated on June 28 next year, the former PM’s 100th birth anniversary.
Narasimha Rao’s daughter Vani Dayakar Rao thanked the Telangana government for taking the initiative to celebrate the legacy of PV Narasimha Rao.
