Telangana Wakf Board plans to save Dargah land from encroachers

Neredmet police station conducted survey on Thursday to fix the boundaries of the Dargah and the land adjacent to it.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Wakf Board has intiated measures to relieve the lands belonging to the historical Dargah Hazarath Koh-e-Moula Ali from the clutches of land grabbers.

To protect the Dargah's land, a team of officials from the Wakf Board, along with Smt Ch. Vijaya, MRO, and Mr. Prabhakar Reddy, RDO, from Malkajgiri and police authorities from the Neredmet police station conducted survey on Thursday to fix the boundaries of the Dargah and the land adjacent to it.

Mr. Asadullah, the Chief Executive Officer of the Board, said the Dargah had more than nine acres of the land adjacent to it as part of Survey No .433/1 and 434/1.

Following complaints from several individuals - including Mir Raza Ali — alleging that certain individuals had changed the survey numbers and grabbed the land — the Board decided to earmark the original boundaries of the property.

A survey team headed by former CEO Mr. Gaffar and surveyor Khayum Khan were deputed to identify the correct land boundaries with the help of police.
