Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) renewed its ISO 9001:2015 certification on Tuesday which will be valid until July 2026, representatives of Jio Tech Global Certificate Private Limited said.
Calling it another honour for providing drinking water to the residents of Hyderabad, given the arduous audit process, technical director P. Ravikumar, Transmission CGM Dasharath Reddy and MD Dana Kishore celebrated the event at the head office in Khairatabad. The MD appreciated the employees and staff of the board for providing better services to the people.
When the ISO certificate came to the Water Board for the first time in July 2017, its time limit was up to July 2020, which was extended until July 2023 and renewed for the third time again.
The water body has been given this certificate for following the quality standards - collection of water from the rivers to the supply to the consumers, i.e. storage, treatment process, chlorination, pumping, transmission, distribution, etc.
