PM Modi to lay new rail line at Manoharabad

There is no confirmation yet on his participation in a meeting organised by the BJP.

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to Telangana state on August 7 has been finalised and a communiqué to this effect has reached the state government. He will also visit the Kaloji Narayana Rao Medical and Health University campus. The Prime Minister will also simultaneously unveil the much-awaited Mission Kakatiya pylon that ensures revival of all the 45,000 irrigation tanks in Telangana state in a phased manner.

He will later reach Gajwel in Medak district to inaugurate the first phase of the Mission Bhagiratha Project, which will ensure drinking water to each and every household in the state before 2019. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for the new Manoharabad-Kottapally railway line that connects Medak district with Karimnagar. As per the finalised schedule he will reach Begumpet at 6 pm and leave for Delhi. There is no confirmation yet on his participation in a meeting organised by the BJP.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister on Monday asked Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to meet Union home minister Rajnath Singh and new law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to sort out issues related to the division of the Hyderabad High Court and the controversies surrounding sharing of assets and liabilities among Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh regarding public institutions listed in schedules IX and X of the AP Reorganisation Act. The Governor, who met the Prime Minister on Monday at Parliament House, later met both the Central ministers and discussed the issues. It is learnt that the Prime Minister, during his visit, wishes to address these issues.
