Hyderabad: Four people belonging to a family from Kurnool were killed in an accident in Mahbubnagar in the wee hours of Monday. The mishap occurred when the car in which they were travelling lost control and rammed into a cement truck ahead.
The deceased are Nasir Mia Ahmed, 62, Rizwana Khatoon, 52, Farzana Khatoon, 25 and Hania Khatoon, 5. One more person was injured seriously.
Police said Nasir Mia Ahmed hails from Kurnool. On Sunday night he and his family came to RGI Airport in their car to see off their son-in-law who was flying to Dubai. After seeing him off they started back to Kurnool. While they were passing through Jallapur village in Mahbubnagar district, Nasir who was driving the car, lost control.
“He rammed the car into a cement container truck from behind. Nasir, his wife, daughter and granddaughter died on the spot with serious injuries,” Alampur inspector Venkateswarlu said.
Hazeen Khatoon, who was injured, is out of danger now. A case of accidental death was registered and the bodies were handed over to the family after post-mortem.
