Hyderabad: An autorickshaw driver died after being hit with an alcohol bottle by his nephews at a bar in Uppal on Monday.
Police said the victim, M. Sai Prasad, 31, a resident of Tukaramgate consumed alcohol along with his nephews Srikanth and Uday Shankar alcohol at his former’s house. They went to a bar in Chilakanagar, located near the house of Prasad’s sister where his family had gathered for a function.
At the bar, Prasad reportedly abused his nephews and they hit him with a bottle. When he collapsed, they shifted him to a nearby hospital. Doctors advised them to shift Prasad to Gandhi Hospital but they took him home. He died at home a short while later.

An autorickshaw driver was chased and beaten to death at Narsingi allegedly by his cousin. Police said Chand, 25, a resident of Alkapuri Colony in Narsingi, was attac-ked by his cousin Rahman near Alkapu-ri Township. Narsingi sub-inspe-ctor T Sridhar said that it could be a case of enmity.
