Madras Flying Club likely to be hauled up

The Registrar of Companies, under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has initiated proceedings for non-compliance, said a reliable source.

Chennai: The Madras Flying Club, which had left many aspirants high and dry in not providing the training, is likely to be in trouble for non-filing of returns for nearly a decade. The Registrar of Companies, under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has initiated proceedings for non-compliance, said a reliable source.

The Registrar of Companies, Ministry of Corporate Affairs has filed a prosecution in the Economic Offences Court, Egmore, for non-filing of balance sheets and Annual returns from 2006 onwards, following a complaint by R.Rajkumar, secretary & CEO, IOSA Auditor & ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor. "The company was kept in dormant status for 10 years and several crores were transacted in bank accounts. The trainee pilot deposits of several students have been siphoned off. This also includes the SC / ST scholarship funds," claims Rajkumar. The unapproved flying training organisation lures students by false advertisements, alleges Rajkumar.

Speaking to DC, he said MCA's action would make help the scores of students who have been waging a silent war to get back their fee, running to several lakhs of rupees and also fix the accountability on who should run the MFC, which has been registered as a company.
