Kozhikode: The Hotel and Restaurants' Association of the city is one among the 75 organisations enlisted for the World Responsible Tourism Award instituted by Responsible Travel and ICRT (International Centre for Responsible Tourism). The award ceremony will be hosted by World Travel Market during World Responsible Tourism Day on November 8.
The key role played by the organisation in ‘Operation Sulaimani’ as part of the “Compassionate Kozhikode” in which the city hotels wholeheartedly cooperated, has enabled the organisation to be listed for the award.
Representing a huge diversity of work in 30 countries worldwide, the longlist includes a hotel in Dubai for rescuing, rehabilitating and re-releasing turtles and educating guests and local children about conservation.
