Hyderabad: The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission-I has directed ICICI Home Finance Company Limited to compensate a complainant for misplacing original sale deeds that were pledged with it.

G. Naga Srinivas and his wife Rajeswari, residents of Ramanthapur, filed a petition before the commission-I stating that they had taken a housing loan from

ICICI Home Finance by pledging original sale deeds and link documents of the property. They completed the repayment in January 2018 but the bank officials failed to return the original sale deeds even by February 28, 2019, despite several reminders.
