Vijayashanti held during protest in Hanamkonda
Warangal: The protest held by the Congress in Warangal on Thursday against the Intermediate results goof-up turned out to be chaotic, with several politicians, including TPCC campaign committee chairperson and former MP Vijayashanti, getting arrested in Hanamkonda.
The Congress had planned to hold a rally and submit a memorandum to the district collector protesting against the state government's negligence towards the intermediate students. However, the police thwarted their plans and stopped the Congress leaders at Ekashila park in Balasamudram.
Addressing the protesters, Ms Vijayashanti said the TRS government was using the police force to sabotage the voice of opposition leaders. The heartbroken students who were shown as failed in the Intermediate results had resorted to suicide but “insensitive Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao” remained least bothered about it and was busy luring MLAs of other parties by offering them `30 crore each, she alleged.
