KAKINADA: In a minor mishap, a 40-year-old woman, Bethapudi Mariyamma, belonging to a self-help group of Denduluru, got severely injured as a barricade set up for the launch programme of the third phase of YSRC Aasara programme by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, fell on her.
After the conclusion of the meeting, the barricade where Mariyamma along with a group of women were standing fell on Mariyamma injuring her leg. Trainee collector Apurva Bharat and DRDA project director Vijaya Raju took her in their car to the Government Hospital in Denduluru for treatment. She was later shifted to Government Hospital at Eluru after the police cleared the traffic in the area.
