Kerala: Chance to alter Neet centres
Thiruvananthapuram: Candidates will be given another chance to correct their choice of cities for the NEET examinations. This is after the decision by CBSE to add 23 more cities to the list including Kannur and Thrissur from the state. With this the total number of examination centres has increased to 103 cities. The candidates have been given time till March 27 to log on to NEET website http://cbseneet.nic.in for revising their options.
After the candidates successfully give their choice of examination centres, students will be allotted centres based on the availability. The NEET (UG)-2017 will be conducted on May 7. NEET is being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in Medical and Dental Colleges in the country. It was for the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) to prepare the rank list for admissions in the state.
CEE had earlier decided that there will be no state-level entrance examination for admissions in Medical and Allied courses other than MBBS and BDS. The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Directorate General Health Services, a for the conduct of counselling for 15 per cent All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to state and other Counselling Authorities.
