Lax attitude creating more trouble

After taking charge as the GHMC commissioner, Lokesh Kumar has taken up the 10-day special drive to lift debris waste.

Garbage menace in North Lallaguda

We, the Railway Colony, North Lallaguda residents, are welcomed by heaps of garbage thrown by passersby right from the colony’s entrance to the either side of the roads. Every lane in the colony has a garbage pile. Even dead animals are being thrown out in the colony, Mosquitoes are causing ill-health to the locals. I request the authorities to kindly look into the matter and come up with a smart solution to stop these people from dumping their house waste in to our colony. Also, outsiders have been wandering in the colony lately, consuming liquor and speeding vehicles driven by minors are often seen in the colony.

Open fuse box is a big danger
I am attaching a picture of an electric pole with an open fuse box perching on top of it dangerously, posing a threat to passersby. It is situated at a very busy junction opposite Virinchi Hospital, adjacent to Pension Office in Masab Tank. I am requesting DC to kindly highlight it so that authorities can take necessary action soon.

Manhole work pending in Yakutpura
This is to bring to the attention of the authorities the long-peding manhole work at Owaisi Hospital opposite Royal Sea Hotel, in Yakutpura. I request GHMC to look into the matter and avoid inconvenience to the locals.

Unbearable stink from waste
I would want to raise the issue of dumping waste on the stretch between the Arts College Railway Station underbridge and the Osmania University distance education centre. Every time we pass by the road, a foul smell creates inconvenience. As there are very few residential houses in the area, there is hardly any cleaning and quarters in the area are also abandoned. I request the authorities to look into this and make sure there is regular cleaning as it is causing damage to our health and the environment.

End blockage of roads for VIPs to travel

We all thought that red beacons have become a thing of past and it would help us commute easily. But we were misled. The VIPs can still stop traffic at will, anytime and anywhere.

The movement of Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s, convoy during his regular crisscrossing between Chief Minister’s camp office and his farmhouse in Gajwel forces commuters in Tumkunta, Bolarum, Alwal, Lothkunta, Lal Bazaar, Kharkhana, S.P. Road and Begumpet to come to a standstill. A 15+ kms of stretch anytime of the day, without any prior information through media, is blocked, just like his predecessors did few years ago.

We were asked to wait twice on a single day. As if that were not enough, buses are forced to take diversions to the lanes of Bolarum area near Bajrang Colony, St. Ann’s school, Cantonment Garden, Ladkawala, Meeseva at Alwal, Satya petrol pump Lane, Trimulgherry crossroads, and Karkhana lanes.
Why is it that the public are forced to bear the brunt of this every other day? The moment his convoy passes through the area, the traffic cops on duty abandon the place.

Rao should follow the footsteps of former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who wouldn’t travel with such a big convoy and was conscious of the hardships faced by commuters.

We need a law to cut down on such acts to reduce hassles public have to face just for the movement of one individual.

Garbage spills onto road

I am a resident of Kandiguda, Sainikpuri. Right in front of our house, we have a garbage deposit spot. There used to be a municipality garbage bin but since past few days, it is not placed at the spot and all the garbage is lying on the road. Garbage-collecting vehicles hardly visit the place to clean it up. When asked, the municipality personnel asked me to raise a complaint with the office. There is a temple nearby and as a result, waste is being deposited on the road. Kindly look into the matter.

GHMC should take up special drive

After taking charge as the GHMC commissioner, Lokesh Kumar has taken up the 10-day special drive to lift debris waste. I request him to continue the special drive every month. There is a need to replace manholes in certain areas as drain water continues to overflow near Khairtabad Hanuman Temple and also in front of Cafe Bahar, Hyderguda.
