Slain broker's mom moves plea against Justice P Ubaid
Kochi: The mother of Rajeev, the real estate broker in Chalakkudy killed by alleged hired gangsters, has submitted a letter to the Supreme Court Chief Justice against Kerala High Court Justice P. Ubaid, who had earlier delivered an interim order on the anticipatory bail plea filed by advocate Udayabhanu. Rajamma in her letter has alleged that the verdict has enabled Udayabhanu, facing the allegation of plotting the murder, to destroy evidence in the case.
Justice Ubaid has recused himself from hearing the case. A copy of the letter was also sent to the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. The interim order has asked the investigation team to hand over the evidence against Udayabhanu in a sealed cover to the court and not to arrest him till the final order on the petition for the anticipatory bail.
