IIIT-Hyderabad launches AI programme
Hyderabad: These days, all corporates require knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning, says Prof. P.J. Narayanan, the director of the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H).
A new state-of-the-art Foundations of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning programme has been launched by the Machine Learn-ing Laboratory of the IIIT-H, specifically for professionals in the field of technology. The programme will be conducted in collaboration with TalentSprint.
There has been an increase in the demand for advisory services in the recent past. The institute, which is part of one of the largest research clusters studying artificial intelligence in the country, has decided to launch this programme to meet the demand. Over two million jobs are expected to be created in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning in the next three years.
The four-month-long programme is the first initiative of its kind by an educational institute. It will adopt a hands-on teaching approach. “We have settled on classroom teaching with lab training. The curriculum has been designed by us and its execution is being taken care by TalentSprint. We are ex-cited about this program because we are reaching out to so many people for the first time,” says Prof. Narayanan.
