5.5 lakh users tried to book tickets simultaneously; total hits touched one crore mark

TIRUPATI: Claiming that the special drive to improve their online booking website has given yielding dividends, TTD additional EO A.V. Sharma Reddy said that the 2. 4 lakh tickets released online on Friday were booked successfully within an hour. He said about 5.5 lakh users tried to book tickets at any point of time and the total hits had touched the one crore mark.
Speaking to the media here, he said that several technical hiccups had surfaced on the booking portal as lakhs of devotees were making simultaneous logins for the Rs 300 special entry darshan (SED) tickets.
“Following a series of complaints about technical snags, the coordinated efforts of the IT wing of TTD, TCS and Jio achieved the desired results.
