Hyderabad: Probe begins into metro death case

Mr Reddy said that this was a preliminary inspection and further inspections would be done in due course of time.

Hyderabad: A statutory enquiry was initiated into the death of G Mounika, which took place at Ameerpet station of the Hyderabad Metro Rail on Tuesday, by Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS), Ministry of Civil Aviation.

J. K. Garg, CMRS, inspected the accident site at Ameerpet station along with N.V.S. Reddy, MD, HMRL, besides engineers concerned of both HMRL and L&TMRHL.

Mr Reddy said that this was a preliminary inspection and further inspections would be done in due course of time. He said that required engineering tests would be got done under the supervision of the IIT, Hyderabad.

“A public hearing would be held by the CMRS at the Metro Rail Bhavan on October 3,” he added.
