Hyderabad: A 28-year-old woman, working as HR manager in an MNC in the city, jumped from the fifth floor of her apartment at Madinaguda in Miyapur on Tuesd-ay. The Miyapur police registered a case of suspicious death. According to police, the victim has been identified as K. Mahathi and was living in Landmark Residency at Madinaguda in Miyapur. She was working with an MNC at Gachibowli.
At around 11.30 pm, Mahathi, went to the fifth floor of the building and reportedly jumped from there.
The residents of the building alerted the parents of the woman and she was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead, said the police.
The woman did not leave any note and her messages were also analysed and nothing suspicious was found.
Based on a complaint from the father of the deceased, K. Thirupathi Rao, police registered a case.
The police found that Mahathi jumped to death when her elder sister Mrudula was watching her.
“As Mahathi left the house and did not return for a long time, Mrudula went to the upstairs to check if her sister was present and she saw Mahathi sitting on the parapet wall of the building. A shocked Mrudula tried to communicate with her sister if anything was wrong, Mahathi jumped from there,” said the police.
