The incident took place at Ushaa Numerology Sankalpa Sidhi run by Jagadish Babu, located at Annapurna Block in the Mythrivanam of Ameerpet.
At around 10.30 pm, when Jagadish and his two employees were at their routine work, six persons knocked on the door claiming to be officials from CBI. The panicked inmates allowed the claimants to enter the office when they informed them that it was a raid.
The group of men has confined two female employees in one room and Jagadish in another room and conducted searches.
After some time, they behaved as if the raids were completed and took away 25 tolas of gold, 11 laptops and eight mobile phones from the place.
After coming out of the shock, the victim approached the SR Nagar police and on getting confirmed that the raids were fake, he lodged a complaint.
The police registered a case under sections 419 and 395 of IPC for the probe.
