OU students protest over Manipur violence

HYDERABAD: Students from Osmania University and its affiliated colleges took out a rally from NCC Gate to the Arts Colleges on the campus here on Friday over the ongoing violence in Manipur. At the rally’s end, gathering at Arts College, they displayed placards and shouted slogans demanding justice for the victims of the violence in Manipur and that the culprits be punished.

Later, PDSU students organised a discussion at Arts College related to the atrocities in Manipur where Kuki and Naga tribes were being targeted. They alleged that the government was playing the role of a spectator.

Swathi Kotha, an Arts College student said scholars and professors and women student leaders took part in the discussion.
