VIJAYAWADA: The school education department has announced full-day school from June 26 (Monday) as the temperatures have gradually decreased during the past few days. Earlier, orders were issued by the department regarding conducting of half-day schools from 7.30 am to 11.30 am from June 12 to 24 due to heatwave conditions reported by the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA).
Commissioner of school education S. Suresh Kumar stated that as the weather conditions are back to normal, it has been decided to conduct the schools for full days with effect from June 26 as per the schedule of academic calendar 2023-24 prepared by the State Council for Education Research and Training.
Suresh Kumar said that regional joint directors of school education and district educational officers in the state, headmasters of all the government, private and aided schools in the state to abide by these instructions scrupulously without any deviation.
