Moily back to practising law
Bengaluru: Former CM M. Veerappa Moily, who lost to BJP's B.N. Bache Gowda in the Lok Sabha election from Chikkaballapura, is back as an advocate, practising law at the Karnataka High Court.
The senior Congress leader, who is also a writer, started his career as an advocate before plunging into politics. He was last seen performing his duties as an advocate in 2004 while arguing a case before the High Court.
It was a pleasant surprise for many when Mr Moily, in the advocate's attire, appeared on the premises of High Court around 11.15 am on Monday. He said that he will practise law henceforth. After a brief stay at the High Court and interacting with his fellow advocates including former advocate general B.V. Acharya and others, he left for the day.
