ADILABAD: Jannaram police registered a case in connection with the death of Venkatesh Goud (32) of Kotha-Kommugudem of Luxettipet mandal. He died after being hit by the iron-gate at Tapalapur forest check-post in Jannaram mandal on May 22.
The incident took place when he was going towards Jananram from Kothakummariwada of Luxettipet. CCTV video footage went viral on social media.
Family members of Venkatesh lodged a complaint against the bike rider and blamed him for Venkatesh’s death.
It is learnt that Venkatesh Goud of Kommugudem was on the pillion seat when his friend Chandrasekhar was riding the bike.
The speeding bike hit the iron-gate when the forest staff present there was signaling them to slow down their bike.
CCTV footage showed that the forest staff pulled up the gate to some height. However, the bike crossed the iron gate And Venkatesh Goud was hit against the gate and suffered head injuries. Chandrasekhar survived with minor injuries.
