Settlement delays in Dharani: HC summons UCLA chief

HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court on Monday expressed concern over the delay in resolving land related issues on Dharani portal within the stipulated time. It said this has led to increased litigations causing hardship to both the courts and the litigants.

In an interim order, Justice K. Lakshman directed the chief commissioner of land administration to appear before the court in person on Tuesday and explain the delay in implementing many directions of CCLA. The HC wanted details about why revenue authorities were not considering online applications and F line applications within the stipulated one week and 45 days period. It sought to know why the sale certificates issued by the financial institutions to the successful bidders and the general/special power of attorney were not considered.

The HC asked the CCLA to explain why some applications were being rejected without assigning any reasons.
