Execute verdict in toto, says V S Achuthanandan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Administrative Reforms Commission chairman and veteran leader V. S. Achuthanandan on Monday said the government should implement the Supreme Court verdict on T. P. Senkumar case in toto. He was reacting to questions from media persons regarding Supreme Court’s historic verdict in Senkumar case. While chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the government would take a decision after getting the full verdict and even hinted at the possibility of exploring legal options including a review, the veteran leader was forthright in his reaction.
He is keen to see Senkumar back as State Police Chief. Mr Achuthanandan who was not quite happy over the manner in which Senkumar was shown the door, has yet again taken a position that is divergent to the official stand. The CPM state secretariat which is meeting here on Tuesday is likely to take a political decision on the issue.
