KTR inaugurates three-lane 760-metre flyover at LB nagar

Hyderabad: “Actions speak louder and time and again we have proved our commitment to development,” said minister K.T. Rama Rao after inaugurating the 760-metre flyover costing Rs 32 crore at LB nagar here on Saturday.

“Earlier it would take one 15 to 20 minutes to cross the chaotic LB Nagar crossroads. Now it is going to be a smooth drive as the three-lane flyover will provide be signal-free traffic from Hayathnagar to Dilsukhnagar.”

“The crossroad will be named in the memory of Telangana martyr Srikanth Chary,” Rama Rao said.

He said that nine of 12 projects of the SRDP had been completed and the remaining three would be ready by September. “We will go for elections thereafter. It is a foregone conclusion that BRS will retain power,” he said.

The minister added that the Metro Rail which terminates at Nagole would be connected to LB Nagar and connectivity will extend up to Hayatnagar and Shamshabad airport.

The inauguration was attended by MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy, MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy and deputy mayor Mote Srilata Shobhan Reddy.

The MA&UD had in 2015 given administrative sanction for 20 projects consisting of flyovers and junctions. At LB Nagar junction, four structures have been taken up.

This will ease traffic movement from Secunderabad to Srisailam on inner ring road and on National Highway (NH65) from Vijayawada to Hyderabad.
