Karimnagar: Boy loses dad, writes SSC exam

He was devastated after his father, Shankar, died of a heart attack in his sleep and was in no condition to sit for his Class X Hindi exam.

KARIMNAGAR: In spite of losing his father in the morning, a Class X student of Sultanabad mandal appeared for his Secondary School Certificate examination thanks to the counseling given by the correspondent of his school.

Mallemala Nikhil, a native of Gattepalli in Sultanabad mandal, is a student of Vignan High School. He was devastated after his father, Shankar, died of a heart attack in his sleep and was in no condition to sit for his Class X Hindi exam.
He, however, decided to give the exam after being motivated by his school correspondent Buchi Reddy.

Upon learning about the tragic incident, Mr Reddy rushed to the residence of Nikhil. He convinced the student to sit for the exam after counseling him for several minutes about the consequences of failing in a subject and by giving tips to overcome his sorrows. Shankar is survived by his wife and his two children, Nikhil and his sister.
