VIJAYAWADA: Adviser to the government on public affairs, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, said on Friday that Chandrababu Naidu "directed the screenplay in the Y.S. Viveka's murder case, as there is political involvement behind the CBI announcements."

He claimed that Avinash Reddy had nothing to do with the Viveka murder and Naidu was engaged in conspiracies through his "coverts in the BJP" and targeting chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking at a media meet in Tadepalli on Friday, Ramakrishna Reddy said the screenplay and direction to the Y.S. Viveka's murder case were fashioned at the behest of Chandrababu and there was a political involvement behind the present CBI moves.

He said, "There is no evidence pointing to Avinash Reddy. This was just an attempt to try and morally damage our leader through the Viveka murder case just before the approaching elections."

Ramakrishna Reddy said there was evidence to show that B. Tech Ravi and Adinarayana Reddy were involved in the case. "Losing YS Viveka was a loss for the YSRC and YS Jagan. It was Jagan who had invited him to come back to the party."

He alleged that the investigation in the case was not being conducted in an impartial manner and that a few people were being targeted.

Ramakrishna Reddy recalled that Avinash Reddy went to the spot only after Viveka's brother-in-law Sivaprakash Reddy called him on the phone and told him about the death. "Adinarayana Reddy said that Sivaprakash Reddy called and told him that Viveka had died of a heart attack," he stated.

"Why had the call records on Viveka's phone been deleted,'' Ramakrishna Reddy asked.

He asked, "Why weren’t the call records of B. Tech Ravi, Adinarayana Reddy and Viveka’s son-in-law Rajasekhar Reddy checked? Y.S. Viveka was murdered during Chandrababu's reign. Now, Naidu is influencing the CBI investigation through his coverts in the BJP."

He recalled that Chandrababu had previously labelled YSR a factionist and was hatching conspiracies. "Now Naidu is making conspiracies against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Chandrababu will prepare a narrative that will be published and promoted in their allied media, and the same will be parroted by the TD leaders repeatedly."
