Thrissur: If the Festival Coordination Committee was sincere about the protests in front of the houses of the three ministers from Thrissur, Agriculture Minister V.S. Sunil Kumar said that he was ready to inaugurate the protest in front of his house. The minister’s response was to the committee which had announced a day ago that protests would be held from Sunday in front of the houses of the three ministers, by erecting huts, demanding permission for fireworks.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, the minister said that it was up to the NDA government at the centre to solve the issues regarding fireworks for festivals in Kerala. “The latest circular by the Explosives Department has caused the stalemate over festival fireworks and the onus is on the BJP to find a solution to it,” the Minster said.
