Implementation of Schemes: CM to Put Onus on Officials

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is likely to announce sops to people in the first conference being held with all district collectors on Sunday. He is expected to set a time-frame to fulfil the Congress promises made to various sections, including the Six Guarantees.

Decisions on implementing the schemes such as domestic cylinder for Rs 500, Maha Lakshmi scheme to extend Rs 2,500 per month to women, crop loan waiver for farmers up to Rs 2 lakh, Rythu Bharosa for tenant farmers and agriculture labourers, framing of guidelines for identification of tenant farmers and agriculture labourers, enhanced pensions for senior citizens, widows and the physically challenged are expected to figure in the meeting.

Official sources said that the CM will apprise collectors and superintendents of police (SPs) about the priorities of his government, implementation of Congress promises, taking administration closer to the people, providing pro-people administration as per their expectations, expediting development programmes and welfare schemes and maintaining law and order.

He will make it clear that his government's priority would be maintaining law and order, checking crimes against women and children, offences relating to narcotics and economic offences and any efforts to disturb social and communal harmony, sources added.

He will give specific directions to the officials on the implementation of the Six Guarantees within 100 days and take the governance to the village level along with rectifying the flaws committed by the previous government.

The Congress government has already accorded top priority to addressing the people’s grievances and organising ‘Prajavani’ at Praja Bhavan every Tuesday and Friday.

Revanth Reddy will announce an action plan to organise Prajavani programmes at the district, mandal and village level in a well organised manner.

The Six Guarantees are to ensure social justice through economic empowerment. The “Praja Palana “ (people’s governance) is to make the government accountable to take the governance mechanism to the village level and distribute the fruits of the good governance to the poor and marginalised sections. Additional collectors of local bodies were also invited to the meeting.

The ‘Praja Palana Grama/Ward Sabhas’ will be organised from 8 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 6 pm from December 28 to January 6 . Official teams will visit all the gram panchayats and municipal wards/ divisions covering at least two per day.

Local sarpanchs, corporators and councillors will be invited to the programme. Steps will be taken to ensure the participation of all other public representatives. Each application received in these grama/ ward sabhas will be uploaded on the computers and a unique number will be issued to every applicant, separately.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka along with other ministers, secretaries of various departments and officials concerned will participate in the collectors and SPs conference on Sunday.
