Thiruvananthapuram: Charity marks Christmas fete
Thiruvananthapuram: The Christmas celebration at a Technopark firm has brought cheers to scores of children of the nearby special school and poor homes. Employees of QuEST Global organised the innovative Christmas celebration by fulfilling the wishes of nearly 150 children of Balabhavan and Balikabhavan poor homes near Manvila as well as the Sahajeevan school for special children at Kaniayapuram.
The employees collected the wishes of the children, kept it in separate stars and tied the stars to a Christmas tree at QuEST Global office at Technopark. The employees plucked the stars and purchased the item mentioned in the wishlist. The gifts were presented to the children on Thursday. “We have been engaged in charity activities earlier too. All the gifts were in the price range of '500 to '700. Gifts were presented to 83 students of Sahajeevan school, 35 of Balikabhavan and 25 of Balabhavan. Some of the students made more than one wish.
