Kerala police acting as per Sangh Parivar: Ramesh Chennithala

Mr Chennithala also paid floral tributes at the memorial of Karunakaran at Poonkunnam.

Thrissur: The Kerala Police is acting as per the directions of the Sangh Parivar now, Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala alleged. Mr Ramesh was speaking at a meeting held at Tagore Hall in Aranattukara as a part of observing the sixth death anniversary of former Chief Minister K Karunakaran. “Going by the actions of the police, one may wonder whether Rajnath Singh has control over the police force in the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who handles the Home portfolio has lost control over the police force,” he said.

DCC president T N Prathapan, daughter of Karuankaran and KPCC general secretary Padmaja Venugopal, senior Congress leader K P Viswanathan among others took part. Mr Chennithala also paid floral tributes at the memorial of Karunakaran at Poonkunnam. Special programmes were also held at DCC office in his memory in which several party workers took part.
