HYDERABAD: With a thick security cordon at the ever busy Mallareddy Narayana hospital, patients faced difficulties. Except for a few patients who were not in a condition to walk, all others including nursing mothers and elderly were forced to alight from their vehicles on the road and walk in. The vehicles were directed to park in the adjoining Malla Reddy hospital.
Though the Central Reserve Police (CRP) deployed at the hospital has a women component, no women personnel were seen at the hospital, handling the patients and the crowds gathered outside the hospital.
A Jeedimetla resident who came to the hospital with his wife and newborn child, said that though it was difficult for his wife to walk carrying the child, they were made to walk in from the main road.
Another elderly woman from Borabanda also complained of being stopped at the gate and walking into the hospital for her regular consultation.
