Hyderabad: The GHMC is to build public toilets at 25 locations in the build-own-transfer mode. GHMC commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy, who interacted with toilet operators on Sunday, said they would build the new infrastructure.

“Toilets should have separate entrances for men and women besides ramps for the physically challenged. We have floated request for proposals to provide public toilets with a spirit of service rather than on commercial lines,” he said.

GHMC assistant commissioner Ravi Kiran said 164 more sites would be offered for public toilerts. “The GHMC will provide water and sewerage line connections. Besides this, about 300 petrol bunks will have public toilets,” he said.
