Forget Kashmir, worry on Baluch: Shahnawaz Hussain to Pakistan
KOZHIKODE: A day after Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif raked up the Kashmir issue in the UN General Assembly, the BJP countered him and said it was the right time for him to combat terrorism. BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain came down heavily on him and said Pakistan’s name has to be changed to 'Aatangistan.’ He did not spare the Congress either and said its leaders should have trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in the Indian Army.
Mr. Hussain told DC on the sidelines of the BJP national executive and council meetings here that though India wanted to hold talks with Pakistan, it did not evince any interest. “When the whole world is aware of Pakistan's tactics, its government feigns ignorance of what's happening around,” he said. “There is no difference between Nawaz Sharif and Hafiz Shahid, Zayed Salahaudeen and Rafiz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif has misused the UN platform and he spoke like Hafiz Shahid. Pakistan need not dream of Kashmir and instead it should think of saving Baluchistan and Sindh,” Mr. Hussain said.
He added that there was fear in every Pakistani, but India has a powerful Prime Minister. Just when India tried to open the diplomatic channel, Pakistan retreated. He took a dig at Congress vice- president Rahul Gandhi who used to hold 'Khat Sabhas' in Uttar Pradesh. “The Congress should not politicise the Kashmir issue. So as long as Congress is not holding Khat Sabhas, it should have trust in Modi and the Indian Army. I suggest that they shouldn't follow petty politics. We are aggressive on terrorism and this is the right time to act to end the root cause of terrorism in Pakistan,” he added. Regarding slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani being hailed as a “young leader” by Mr Nawaz Sharif, Mr. Hussain said that for him and the Pakistan government every terrorist is a “revolutionary leader.”
