THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has slammed the BJP-RSS for unleashing false propaganda to project Kerala as land of violence. He alleged that the ruling party which is headed by an extra constitutional outfit like RSS, was trying to attack LDF using unconstitutional means. “We have been experiencing their devious moves for some time now,” he said.
In his Facebook page Pinarayi said as part of this propaganda, Kannur district was being shown in a bad light. “There are differences over issues among political parties which function constitutionally. But RSS is not an organization which functions like a normal political outfit. It promotes politics of communalism and intolerance under the label of cultural organization. It is guided by the ideology of hatred and it does not allow others any space to function,” he added.
The chief minister said the RSS implemented its devious agenda of communal hatred and jungle rule in areas where it had influence. Now it is trying to create trouble in Kerala particularly in Kannur district. Pinarayi said majority of Hindus believed in secularism and peace, and they were against RSS.
“It is the Left which has relentlessly and persistently checked RSS attempts to infiltrate into Kerala’s secular society. It is because of the Left’s firm stand on communal issues that the RSS now wants to destroy CPM misusing powers vested with the ruling party,” he pointed out. The chief minister said the LDF would not allow any attempt to make political gains under the garb of religious beliefs and fanning religious sentiments. Pinarayi said the attempts made by Sangh Parivar to give communal colour to social renaissance leaders like Sree Narayana Guru had received a befitting defeat from the people of the state.
