No trace of missing IIT-H student in Vizag: Cops

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam police found no evidence of missing IIT-Hyderabad student Kartik. On July 17, Kartik went missing from his college.

According to sources, Kartik left the campus on July 17 and travelled to Secunderabad railway station, where he boarded the Janma Bhoomi Express, which took him to Visakhapatnam the next day. The college administration informed his parents and lodged a missing complaint with Sangareddy rural police.

His phone signal was tracked down to RK Beach. Two days later, it was discovered that he had purchased a bun from a bakery using the UPI App.

According to the deputy commissioners of zones 1 and 2, there is no evidence of the student as of today. According to sources, Kartick's phone was tracked in Maharashtra for a few hours before being turned off.
