Hyderabad: Missing NRI kid restored to parents
Hyderabad: A three-year-old NRI girl who went missing from home was traced in less than an hour in the KPHB area on Sunday. Police said the girl, Vihaani, who had come to visit her grandparents along with her parents went missing from home, but the public found her and brought her to the police station.
Vihaani is the only daughter of Raju and Geetha who are software professionals in London. A week ago they came to their parents’ house in Jayavayuvihar colony near HMT Hills in KPHB. On Sunday evening while they were at home Vihaani was playing on the verandah. She later walked out. An hour later her parents started searching for her.
Meanwhile, the residents of a colony around two km away saw the girl. She could not tell anything except the names of her parents and could talk only in English. The residents handed her over to the KPHB police station. Police immediately send her photo to all police stations. They then took her to the area where she was found.
Meanwhile, her parents came there searching for her. On seeing them she recognised them and they too identified her. “Had she gone to a distant place it would have been difficult to trace her,” KPHB SI M. Saideshwar said.
