Entrance test for MBBS and BDS on Sunday to be videographed

Thiruvananthapuram: The National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET)-II to be held in various centres on Sunday for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses will be videographed. The candidates are required to keep their head in upright position and face the camera during the videography to clearly establish their identity.

The test will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the candidates will be allowed entry into the examination hall from 7.30 a.m.Every candidate should enter the hall by 9.30 a.m. Candidates are allowed to bring only admit card, passport-size photograph and post card-size photograph affixed on pro forma.

Even the pen for doing rough work in test booklet and filling answer sheet will be provided at the centre. All the questions have to be answered on the OMR sheets provided at the time of test. The final results for NEET will be released on August 17. The counselling session for the NEET candidates would begin from August 18 till September 30.

This year, Kerala and some other states would be allowed to admit students to dental and medical colleges in the state from their own entrance examinations.
However, from next year, admissions to all medical and dental colleges will be from the NEET. Students from the state would have to appear for the NEET for eligibility for admissions to national-level institutions.
