Kummanam Rajasekharan visits Thirumala temple
KOCHI: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan has visited the Thirumala Devaswom Temple on Sunday amid brewing differences opinion between two groups connected with the temple management. The BJP leader visited the temple amid reports about an attempt being made by the Cochin Devaswom Board (CDB) to take over the administration of the temple. The present management under the leadership of P. Rangadasa Prabhu and others are alleging that the CDB is trying to wrest control of the temple in the name of probing into the allegations of financial irregularities.
A group led by N. K. Prabhakara Naik has leveled allegations of misappropriation of temple wealth by the present management leading to a probe by the CDB. According to Mr Naik, the present management has been raising the bogey of takeover of the temple administration to derail the probe into financial irregularities. He also alleged that the management is having the support of the BJP in this regard.
