Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute to host meet of experts in mariculture
KOCHI: Mariculture experts in the country who finished their academic programmes from the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) will converge at the institute here on April 8 and 9 to celebrate 37 years of mariculture education, research and development in the country. The CMFRI, in collaboration with the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), offered M.Sc. and PhD programmes in Mariculture from 1979 to 1993.
The course was started during the tenure of former CMFRI Director Dr E.G. Silas with the Centre of Advanced Studies in Mariculture. Graduates of 12 batches of MSc and 11 batches of PhD programmes will attend the meet to be held at the CMFRI.
