Warangal: Holi brings smiles to Oasis kids
Warangal: Children of Oasis orphanage celebrated Holi with natural colours in a fun-filled festive mood with all the children smearing powder on each other. City-based NGO Sulakshya Seva Samithi organised the festival in the orphanage.
Speaking on the occasion, founder of the Samithi, Santhosh Manduva has said that they have been celebrating the festival of colours with the orphans since the last five years and it gives them utmost satisfaction celebrating the festival this way.
“The kids have their breakfast little early than their regular schedule and wait for us. The smile on their faces when they see us coming with a bag full of colours is priceless. We promote celebration of dry Holi with natural colours,” he added.
Members of the Samithi, Shashank Bharadwaj, Revanth Mandala, Hemanth Bollapalli, Sai Hriday, orphanage in-charge Oddiraj Chandraprakash were present.
The festival was also celebrated across the district with youth and the elders participating the festival alike. District officials, police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, Rural SP Ambar Kishor Jha, municipal commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, IG B. Malla Reddy and others took part in the celebrations with the citizens.
